Denise Peda
Denise Peda is an emerging writer and director, recently graduated from Humber College’s Film and Television Production program. Based in Toronto, she has written and directed multiple short films including the upcoming comedic drama “All I Need”, and the music documentary “This Beat Goes On”. Her work has earned acclaim across multiple film festivals including the Markham Film Festival where “Out of the Rain”, a short thriller she wrote, was awarded Best Short in 2023. With her first student short film she was awarded the 2022 NBCUniversal NextGen Diversity Scholarship. Denise brings her passion, creativity, and endless determination to every project she works on, and strives to continue creating emotionally resonant works that engross and entertain the viewers.

Alison Rup
Alison Rup, a recent graduate from Humber College's Film and Television Production Advanced Diploma Program, is a dynamic filmmaker poised for a promising future in production management and producing. With a diverse skill set honed through her experiences as a sound recordist, picture editor, post sound designer, and mixer, Alison has showcased her versatility and dedication to the craft. Her journey began with "Out of the Rain," where she assumed multiple roles including producer, post-production supervisor, and marketing manager, laying the foundation for her leadership abilities. Additionally, as the producer and post-production supervisor of the 2024 short film "All I Need," Alison demonstrated her ability to oversee and deliver successful projects. Alison's vision extends beyond traditional formats, as seen in her work as production manager on virtual productions like "The Last 48." With her blend of creativity, organizational skills, and technical expertise, Alison hopes to make a significant impact in the industry, bringing innovative ideas to life as she continues to pursue her passion for storytelling.

Jackson Adams
With striking composition and bold colors, Jackson Adams cinematography enthralls the audience into the world of his films. Technically proficient from starting out as a Gaffer, he proudly worked on the ACDC International Film Festival ‘Best Short Film’ nominated film ‘Out of the Rain’, alongside the beautifully authentic musical ‘We’ve Never Met’. His desire to consistently improve his style, and his hard-working mentality creates an environment designed for striving above and beyond. Now branching into the Camera department on commercials and music videos, he continues to expand his knowledge in every aspect of cinematography, while honing his craft as a Director of Photographer in Virtual Production and upcoming Narratives.

Geneviève Roy Griffin
Geneviève Roy Griffin enjoys art in all its shapes and forms; drawing, painting, music, writing, and films. Since she was a child, she’s made movies with her friends, but she never thought she’d go into the industry professionally. Through Humber’s Film and Television Production program, she was inspired to combine her love for art and design with film and head into the world of production design. After having worked on another Denise Peda project, “Out of the Rain”, as well as on upcoming PSAs, “The Club” and “Off the Right Track”, she’s confident in her abilities to dress a set and strives to learn more about the challenging, but exciting process that is the art department.

Picture Editor
Toyin Olaniyan
Toyin Olaniyan is a recent graduate of Humber College’s Film and Television Production program. She is an experienced and talented Producer who has worked on short dramas, PSAs and documentaries as a Picture Editor, Production Manager and 1st AD. “Trial by 20’s” is Toyin’s second credited short working as a Producer, Post-Production Supervisor and Marketing Manager. She is also premiering two other projects, Repercussions, in which she worked as Post-Production Supervisor and “All I Need” where she worked as the Picture Editor. Toyin enjoys working on projects she feels passionate about and connects with and hopes to work more in growing and developing herself to garner enough experience to produce her first feature length project in the near future.

Casting Director
Oleksii Kucherchuk
Oleksii Kucherchuk, also known as Alex, is a young filmmaker from Kyiv, Ukraine. His background in acting gave him an ability to convey the right emotions to the viewers through the screen.
Primarily focusing on post-production, he has edited numerous works throughout his early career. The freshest one is LUTY - a Ukrainian film made in toronto.. Recently, he directed a promising PSA speaking up on the topic of psilocybin that aims to revolutionize the future of psychotherapy. His goal is to evoke new emotions and change perspectives through the movies he contributes to. In every production he touches, he aims to elevate the quality to new heights.

1st Assistant Director
Alexia Eler
Alexia Eler, started off making short videos with friends and is now a recent graduate from the Film & Television Production program at Humber College. With a background in Communications Technology and Media Arts, Alexia takes her eye for design and translates them into her work to create imaginative pieces of film. During her time creating What Remains, an expository documentary about the life of a dedicated artist, she gained experience as the Director of Photography and produced an eye-catching documentary. She has obtained many other roles such as the First Assistant Director for the upcoming short, All I Need, as well as the Director for a PSA in collaboration with the Working Women Community Center. Alexia hopes to build on her skills as a Director and Cinematographer. She hopes to create stunning visual pieces that will emotionally move an audience.

Production Manager
Kaleb Carmicheal
Kaleb Carmichael, hailing from small-town Ontario, embarked on a cinematic odyssey driven by a childhood passion for storytelling. Transitioning from ventriloquism to co-writing successful Spider-Man fan films, he showcased his multifaceted talent. At Six Side Studios, he excelled in acting, writing, and producing, while honing his on-screen charisma as the co-anchor of 'Roar TV.' Collaborating on projects like 'Juice Boyz,' he delved into Toronto's rap scene's comedic aspects. Currently studying at Humber College's Film and Television Production program, Kaleb's journey expands. Noteworthy projects include producing the documentary “Beauty Behind The Madness” and a PSA titled “Spores of Hope,” focusing on psilocybin mushrooms' therapeutic potential for terminally ill cancer patients. Recently, he served as a production assistant on the comedy 'Round Trip To Reality' and as the production manager on the short film "All I Need,” and is now immersed in his next venture, 'Sunshine Superman.'

Continuity Supervisor & Colourist
Elena Arsenchuk
Elena Arsenchuk, a Film and Television Production graduate from Humber, is a versatile filmmaker specializing in writing, directing, and script supervising. She has worked on several short films including a thriller “Out of the Rain” that got into Canadian and international film festivals. Elena also has experience working with the camera, lights and sound equipment, and has worked as a videographer and photographer.

Daija Best
Daija Best is a Toronto-based filmmaker who specializes in camera operating and assisting. Growing up she was raised in a creative family, surrounded by painters and visual artists which have influenced her many creative pursuits like painting, photography, drawing, and filmmaking. Her artistic upbringing led her to pursue a career in film. Most recently, Daija has worked as the 1st AC for PSA, “The Club” and for the comedy pilot, “Trial by 20s”. Earlier last year, she worked as a camera operator for a short thriller drama film, “Fresh Catch” as well as a 1st AC for a short drama film “Collections”. Her dedication to cinematography is matched only by her desire to challenge the industry's lack of diversity. As a black woman, Daija hopes to break down barriers in what is often a male-dominated role, striving to be a role model for other BIPOC filmmakers.

Jazzer Pagdanganan
Jazzer Pagdanganan’s passion for the film industry blossomed after his debut as a professional dancer in front of the camera, and since then, he has dedicated himself to mastering the art of filmmaking. Growing up in Toronto, Jazzer developed a keen eye for detail. With a background in dance, he brings a unique perspective to his work, infusing his projects with a sense of rhythm and movement.

Laya Mendizabal
Laya Mendizabal is a interdisciplinary Canadian-Peruvian artist dedicated to honing her skills as a cinematographer, writer, and assistant director. Notable among her recent work is her role as cinematographer for The Club—a public service announcement produced for the Woman Abuse Council of Toronto—and her assistant director credits for More Than One and One to Save Eight created for Multiple Births Canada and The Trillium Gift of Life Network, respectively. Over the years, Laya has created three short films and co-created an ensemble production featured at the SummerWorks Festival in Toronto, Canada. Beyond just a form of self-expression, Laya believes art has a profound ability to affirm, transform, and connect individuals and communities. This belief fuels her passion for storytelling that amplifies the voices of historically disenfranchised groups—with a particular connection to BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, and disability communities. Driven by an insatiable curiosity about the human experience, Laya is deeply invested in producing work that fosters meaningful conversations, bridges accessibility gaps, challenges and subverts existing norms both on and off screen and, hopefully, expands the scope of diversity within the film and television industry.

Nyx Mian
Nyx, a dedicated Humber College graduate, emerges as a multifaceted talent with a relentless pursuit of excellence in cinematography. Specializing in gaffing and gripping during their college years, Nyx mastered the nuances of lighting and composition, showcasing a profound understanding of the visual language. Their expertise extends into post sound mixing, where they've diligently honed their skills to excel in both technical realms. Fueled by an unwavering passion and inspired by cinematic luminaries Andrei Tarkovsky and Hu Bo, Nyx aspires to be a Director of Photography, driven by the desire to create visual masterpieces that transcend conventional storytelling, embodying beauty through the lens

Gaffer
Cameron Rollins
Cameron is a young and eclectic filmmaker looking to illustrate and uplift alternative perspectives and stories. He is consistently pulling influences from all over the creative map whether it is his love for the Afrosurrealism works of Jordan Peele and Hiro Murai, the ironic hyper-absurdist work of Adam McKay, to the unapologetic authenticity of Tyler, The Creator. There is nothing Cameron is afraid of, his persistence allows him to face any obstacles head on. With his background in photography he feels confident in the face of issues that require creative solutions, technical or editorial. Cameron has many more ideas regarding the culture of Toronto, and how our environment impacts us.

Zachariah Madge
Zachariah Madge is an established cinematographer from Toronto Ontario. He is a recent graduate of Humber College. He has a deep passion for cinematography, especially in the grip and electric department. His experience on all I need was nothing less than extraordinary, and he is very grateful for the opportunity to work with such an amazing and talented crew.

Bear Gough
Stanford “Bear” Gough (they/them) is an interdisciplinary artist studying film production at Humber College. They are pursuing a career working in film and television lighting departments, and have a special interest in safety on set. They are passionate about using their platform to tell stories that help people feel comfortable and secure living their authentic lives, as well as practicing and promoting compassionate and environmentally sustainable practices in art.

Andrew Hodgett
Andrew Hodgett, a 23-year-old filmmaker with a passion for cinematography, has dedicated years to refining his craft since childhood. His journey as a Director of Photography is marked by notable achievements, including his contribution to "Le Sélect," a short documentary recognized with the prestigious Best Cinematography award at The Toronto Short Film Festival. Additionally, his talent shines through in "Out of the Rain," a compelling short drama. Demonstrating unwavering commitment to his artistic vision, Andrew continues to elevate his expertise as he lends his vision to the production of "Between Hands," enriching his extensive portfolio and further refining his skills as a cinematographer.

Sara McKee
Sara McKee, a dedicated art director with a fervour for her craft, has showcased her skills in the art department through her role as the art director for the forthcoming short film "All I Need." Born in the quaint town of Paris, Ontario, Sara currently resides in Toronto, where she is pursuing her studies in Humber College's Film and Television Production Program, specializing in Production Design and Cinematography. Sara’s involvement in the film industry extends to several other films in the camera and art department. Sara’s drive to create beautiful films is leading her to work in the film industry full-time and build a network with people who share the same passion as her.

Grip
Eddy Yang
Eddy Yang is a student cinematographer, film director and screenwriter known for grounded narratives and colorful visuals. His works are deeply personal stories livened by empathetic characters and explores topics of queerness, human connection and personal growth. He is a graduate of McGill University and is currently attending Humber College for Film and Television Production. Ella Ella (2022), his debut documentary short, is a Best Short LGBTQ’s Film winner at the Toronto Independent Film Festival of Cift and a Best Student Film winner at the Markham International Film Festival. Currently, he is in development for his debut narrative short Between Hands (2024) and works as the Director of Photography for the short film Luty (2024), a film about the war in Ukraine.

Hair & Make-Up Artist
Kyleigh Matera
Kyleigh Matera is the owner and lead makeup artist at Matte Era Makeup. With a passion for each avenue in makeup design, she is trained in multiple disciplines, including makeup and hairstyling for TV and film, special effects, fashion, weddings and events, and theatre.
A graduate of CMU College of Makeup Art & Design in 2018. Kyleigh was able to hone her skills and develop her craft under the instruction and advice of industry experts such as Robert Weir, Barbara Alexander, and Donald Mowat. When not doing makeup on others, she loves immersing herself in the glamour and allure of Classic Hollywood, and creating costume looks from her elaborate and dynamic wardrobe.

Allie Fripps
Allie Fripps, originally from Orangeville, is a filmmaker who specializes in Sound Recording and Picture Editing. Her upbringing in a small town instills an appreciation for life’s subtleties, inspiring her to capture authentic human experiences on film.
Some of Allie’s credits include “The Farm-acist”, “I Don’t Like Gardening”, and “All I Need”. Throughout her three years at Humber College, she has embraced the fast paced collaborative environment of filmmaking, and continues to evolve as a versatile filmmaker.

JoanMarie Cronk has started her professional career as a sound mixer with the documentary Le Select and Production Designer for I Don’t Like Gardening. For All I Need, she worked as the Story Editor and the Costume Designer. Growing up in Prince Edward County, she has a passion for agriculture, the natural beauty of Canada, and creating stories that people can connect with. Also known in her community for her environmental efforts and helping raise money for her local hospice, firefighters, and schools.

Elle Lloyd
Elle Lloyd, a trans and queer filmmaker currently in their third year of studies at Humber College, is deeply passionate about film and fostering creativity. Their journey in the Film and Television Production Program at Humber has been marked by significant achievements. They've produced three notable projects, including "The Farm-acist" (a short documentary, 2022), "The Club" (a PSA for WomanACT, 2024), and "Off The Right Track" (a PSA for CLEAR, 2024). In addition, Elle served as Assistant Director for "Between Hands" (a short film, 2024), a valuable learning experience. "Collections" (a short film, 2023) marked Elle's debut as a writer and was a rewarding collaboration. Their expertise also extends to sound design, with numerous credits as a sound effects editor and mixer across various film styles. Looking ahead, Elle aims to graduate and pursue a career as a sound editor in the industry.

Kylie Edwards
Kylie Edwards is a third-year student in the Humber College Film and Television Production program. A highly motivated and creative filmmaker with proficiency in both creative and administrative production workflow. Her specialization lies in Production Management and the intricacies of the Post-Production process. Notably, she is currently engaged in the role of Line Producer for the Virtual Production project "The Last 48" in collaboration with William F. White International Inc. Beyond her studies, Kylie has interned on reality television shows like "Big Brother Canada" and "Made for TV with Boman Martinez-Reid," highlighting her versatility within the industry.

David Dang
David Dang is a aspiring filmmaker that has years of post-production experience in film editing through short films, documentaries, promos, and trailers. Proficient in Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools, Davinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, and After Effects, he excels in linear/non-linear editing, green screening/rotoscoping, and compositing. Known for reliability, punctuality, and organizational skills, David values communication, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving. Adaptable and quick-thinking, he adeptly learns new software on the fly, seeing each project as a chance for self-improvement. Notable credits include directing two short films independently, serving as picture editor on "Devout Following," Art Director for "Out of The Rain," Assistant Editor for "Off The Track" and "The Club," and Sound Recordist for "Seeing Clear" and "Women Life Freedom."

Second Sound Editor
Seréjah Hayden-Moscovitch
Seréjah Hayden-Moscovitch was a part of the post-sound team as the dialogue editor for All I Need. She discovered her passion for film from watching music videos of her favourite artists as well as behind the scene videos of their creative process. She joined Humber’s Film and TV Production program to learn for herself just how they were created. Her interests lie in the sound and cinematography aspects of film. Seréjah’s experience extends to other roles, such as sound recordist, boom op, final mixer, key grip, camera operator, 2nd assistant camera, and electric.

David Litvak
Residing in Israel for some time in his youth, David took a great interest in motion picture. Shortly he began delving into the performing arts, he started taking on any roles he could to get on stage and perform in front of numerous audiences. Upon moving to Canada he sought to continue his acting career, taking part in school plays as well as dabbling in the style of street performance with the esteemed ‘Smile Group-Canada’ where his skills were honed and shown to thousands of people across the GTA. Having accomplished so much, David decided to start taking more part in the film industry, being his desired final destination. After graduating from secondary school, he decided to enrol in the Film & TV Production program at Humber College. During his tenure he discovered his passion for screenwriting & post sound, engaging in roles that revolve around the two aspects of filmmaking. Hoping to expand further in the industry, David strives for more complex and meaningful creative projects.

Filip Omeljaniuk
Filip Omeljaniuk is an aspiring writer and post-sound producer based in Toronto, Ontario. Filip's experience in media creation started in childhood as a form of play, which developed into a passion that has guided him down a path pursuing academic and professional excellence in the field. Throughout Filip's academic and professional journey, he has directed a short documentary titled, Death of the Handshake, edited and co-wrote a short VP script, The Last 48, and has taken on a variety of post-sound positions for projects like Corsages and Cribs.

Talha Farid
Talha is a filmmaker passionate about storytelling through cinematography and editing. Fascinated by film since childhood, he has dedicated his life’s work to craft and tell captivating stories. Talha has taken on various roles in the past few years ranging from Picture Editor for the short film Collections, to being CameraOp on a Virtual Production called The Last 48. He was Director of Photography on The Phoenix, a horror short film. Currently, Talha is working as Picture Editor on a PSA about the psilocybin that aims to to raise awareness about psychotherapy and the changes needed in Canada’s legislation for it to be more accessible. Through his dedication to the artform, Talha seeks to weave stories that resonate with people on a profound level.

Colin Duff
Colin is a dedicated and hardworking filmmaker, focusing on directing, editing, cinematography, and script writing. His various works include the short films, “Mind, Body, Darkness,” “Out of the Rain,” “Trial by 20’s,” and a PSA “More Than One.” He specializes in the Horror/Thriller and Drama genres. Once on a project, Colin will apply all his time management and leadership skills to meet all deadlines. He’s worked with companies like the Youtube Channel, “Theories of Everything Podcast with Curt Jaimungal.”

Jayden Kennedy-Escourse
Jayden Kennedy-Escourse is a Brampton-based filmmaker who specializes in VFX and Picture Editing. Some of Jayden’s credits include films such as “Burning Rocket Fuel”, “Stay Alone”, “All I Need”, “Maybe I am The Villain”, and “The Last 48.” During his time at Humber, Jayden has been developing his skills as a VFX artist and editor while striving to make an inclusive and engaging environment for everyone on and off set.

Marketing Manager
Max Presement
Max Presement is a writer, director, and editor from Toronto, Ontario. He serves as the creative force behind his upcoming short film “Maybe I Am the Villain” and the writer of the award-winning short film “Stay Alone." Max also edited the documentary “This Beat Goes On" and served as the co-producer, casting director, and marketing manager for the film “I Don't Like Gardening." Max has received awards for his films “Isolated” and "Deadline," both of which he wrote and directed. With a lifelong passion for filmmaking, Max collaborated with children each summer at Film Camp In A Box to produce hundreds of captivating short films. Currently in his third year at Humber College's Film & Television Production program, Max continues to hone his skills and expand his expertise in film and TV.

John Anthikkat
John Anthikkat is a Toronto-based filmmaker who specializes in post-production, with a focus on editing and sound design. Some of John’s credits include editing the short documentary “Fostering Connection". John was also involved with the studio drama production “Fresh Catch” as the assistant editor, DMT, and behind-the-scenes photographer. Using everything he learned from being in Humber College’s Film and Television Production program, as detail-oriented and collaborative as possible, John strives for perfection to make sure that whatever project he is working on is the best that it could be and that others can enjoy it.
